The Watford Jazz Junction is a new music festival for Watford focused on sharing live jazz & blues with local people.
For our inaugural festival 19-22 May we’ll be putting on a range of shows featuring some fabulous musicians. The full listings are:
19 May 2022 – 19.30 Gala Concert at the Watford Palace Theatre: featuring Shri with Dennis Rollins, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra with Tim Garland, and the Ilario Ferrari Trio. Tickets are £7.50 (under 16s), £17.50 (general admission).
20 May 2022 – 11.30 John Watson Piano Man Busks in Watford High Street. Attendance is free.
20 May 2022 – 16.00 Beat Makers Percussion Workshop at Purcell Music School, Bushey. Tickets are £2.50-£5.00.
20 May 2022 – 20.00 Emma Smith’s Jazz Hang at the Blue Check Restaurant, Bushey. Tickets are £20 general admission and must be booked in advance.
21 May 2022 – 10.30 Ruth Fisher’s Jazz Hangover – a prosecco brunch at the Mercure Watford Hotel, A41. Tickets are £20 including brunch with a glass of prosecco and must be booked in advance.
21 May 2022 – 14.30 Connect with Something New featuring Archipelago, Jelly Cleaver and Samuel Sharp at The Pump House Theatre. Tickets are £5-£10.
21 May 2022 – 21.00 Tomorrow’s Warriors Takeover with Sultan Stevenson Trio with Mark Kavuma and Jelly Cleaver at Steinbeck and Shaw, The Parade, Watford High Street. Tickets are £10 general admission – over 18s only.
22 May 2022 – 13.00 Jazz Steps Around Oxhey Village with a dozen amateur and professional bands at the Railway, Rifle Volunteer, Villiers Arms, Load of Hay and Royal Oak pubs. Attendance is free.
22 May 2022 – 19.30 John Etheridge and Jo Harrop’s Blues Explosion at the Rifle Volunteer pub. Tickets are £12.50-£20 and must be booked in advance.
